Room for Improvement

Looking back, I think fondly of the opportunities I’ve been given to learn and grow as an individual. Whether it be through sports or various careers; they have all had one thing in common: continuous growth is the key to success.

As a child, I dreamt of becoming a soccer player like my uncle who played for the Minnesota Kicks in the late 1970’s. He and my father coached me from a young age and encouraged me to become the best player I could be. They molded me not only into the athlete I wanted to become, but into the team player I needed to be.

When I was 18, I found another passion in golf. Golf is a game that requires an enormous amount of focus and patience. Anyone who has stepped foot on the course understands the difficulty and complexity of the sport. Tiger Woods is one of the greatest to ever play. That skill didn’t come from nowhere. Life-long training and practice are what have allowed him to grow into one of the greats.

Every now and then, you’ll catch Tiger ranting on live TV about one his mistakes. It’s nice to know that even Tiger Woods is human and incapable of perfection. Throughout my development as a golfer, I’ve learned that there’s always room for improvement. You have the opportunity to learn something new and grow every time you play the game. It reminds you of the importance of being vulnerable and open to mistakes.

A close friend once told me, “Fail to plan, or plan to fail.” That saying has always stuck with me. Planning is an essential part of continuous growth. Clientek places an emphasis on the importance of planning, not only in how we execute our projects, but in how we grow our organization.

I am honored to be part of this team and believe my past experiences have been crucial in allowing me to deliver value and assist in growing this incredible business. Get the right team in place, stoke the fire in their eyes, and get to growing!
